1 Hotels & KINKA Partner to Celebrate Earth Day 2025 with a Sustainable Sculpture by Tom Sebazco

In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, 2025, 1 Hotels and KINKA have come together to commission a striking, eco-conscious sculpture by renowned New York City artist Tom Sebazco. This collaboration reflects both brands’ deep commitment to sustainability, nature, and innovative artistic expression.

The centerpiece of this initiative is a thought-provoking sculpture titled "It’s in Our Hands." Crafted from papier-mâché—a symbol of renewal and resourcefulness—the sculpture features a delicate globe cradling a living plant (Anthirium,) supported by two sculpted hands as its base. This powerful imagery embodies the idea that our planet’s future depends on the care and responsibility we take today.

By combining 1 Hotels’ ethos of nature-driven hospitality and KINKA’s dedication to environmental mindfulness, the partnership seeks to inspire collective action and awareness around sustainability. The inclusion of a real, growing plant within the sculpture serves as a reminder of our duty to nurture the planet, reinforcing the theme that small, mindful actions can lead to a thriving, sustainable future.

This installation will be displayed at 1 Hotel’s Central Park New York location (1414 6th Ave, New York, NY 10019,) serving as a focal point for Earth Day activities and sparking conversation about how individuals and businesses can contribute to a greener world.
