Chawan Bowl

$50.00

A matcha bowl (chawan), is one of the most important components of the Japanese tea ceremony. This artisan bowl is made with care in the Youhen Ibushi style and features an ashy, primitive texture that requires a master’s hand. Each matcha bowl is produced in the region of Shiga, a center of Japan's ceramic industry that has been producing Shigaraki ware pottery since 742 AD.
